Judah's Lord's Prayer

The Word is going in! Slowly, but surely and I dont know how much is absorbed or understood by my 2 and 3 year old but I'm excited about it! Remember, Judah is 2 and 4 months. Don't look at my ugly mug on here! I cant stand my voice!

Mighty Mom!

So I finally got my 20minutes in. Actually it was more like 50. but the time passed so fast it wasnt a "work" out.  With my friend Naomi I circled the lake near the Capital building. It was pleasant for the most part, except for the far West side- what a stench!!!! anyhow, maybe I should make a goal to do 15 minutes of yoga everyday and 20min workout 3 times a week. we'll see!

Oops!

Okay, Saturday and Sunday are not my best diet days. Saturday night I was sooooo bad! Well, I started out good. I had a Yummy lemmongrass butter greens salad with apple, walnuts, and hard cheese. It was so delicious but I guess the problem was I should have had a little more protien. Chicken perhaps? I snacked on two oatmeal cookies and a snack size bag of dreaded Doritos. I do not eat those things anymore but for some reason I wanted some last night! Well, Sunday I guess I was a lil better.

Morning coffee
High Fiber Quaker instant oatmeal
two corn quesadillas w/ avocado and tomatoe

diet pepsie
another half of an oatmeal cookie

good job laura.......

My Business Venture

I am( by God's grace) entering a new world- The small business world- Thanks to my Aunt Kath, Im now a proud conservative!!! but thats another story. If you grew up in Tacoma with me you probably remember making candy kiss bouquets to sell when we had a goal and needed to earn a larger sum of money than any of us could do alone. It was very fun as I remember. They are flowers made from chocolate kisses and other chocolate candies. The baby bouquets I used chocolate eyeballs, yea kinda gross but i needed a balloon shape.  Since I have two small toddlers and I am an old school mom and think mom's should be stay-at-hom moms at least till their kids are in school, I dont wish to work at a 9-5 while someone else watches my kids. So I attempting, with lots of help, to start my own home business. Its a big dream, but that's why my blogs title is what it is!
I dont have a proper name for my biz yet but Im open to any and all suggestions!!!

Here's some pics of my creations.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Todays Menu

Coffee- 2 cups (1 Sweetnlow 1tbs halfnhalf)

white egg omellette with pepperjack cheese, tomatoe, yellow bell pepper, half slice turkey

half slice english muffin- smart balance, tiny smidge of Leahs homemade jam- yum!

we'll see where the day leads- got nuts and a diet pepsi! cheers!

Im a big kid now!

Judah has been interested in potty training for a couple months now but I only recently acquired a potty. When I would change his diaper and go to put a new one on he would say, " I dont wan wear dat." I felt bad for the poor kid. I wouldnt want wear that either!!! So today we're going to get "big boy underwear" and he's pretty excited.

what i ate today

Im not a believer in yo-yo dieting crazy "get slim quick" schemes but I do think that if you moderate your sugar and saturated fat intake you can lose inches off your waist in a reasonable amount of time. Im not going to eat celery and carrots' for the rest of my life just so I can wear a small swimsuit!!! I like yummy food and I'm not going to deny myself a nice slice of cake, just not every day! The trick is portions and once a week, instead of everyday. I dont weigh myself all the time, but I might once a year or something but to me the real judge of how "fit" I am is my jeans! ;-)  I measure my waist once a month to see were I'm at. I dont have a certain number I'm trying to get to but it is encouraging when that number starts going down.  Anyhow, a couple of my girl cousins and I are "holding each other accountable" to what we eat and our daily exercise rutine. For me its better than going it alone! So here's what I ate today so far and I still have to do 20 minutes of exercise!

Hears to moderate activity and sensible eating habits!!!!!

Breakfast-
2 small cups of coffee + 1 sweetnlow + 1 tbs half n half ( i know but its sooooo good!)

1/2 cup skim cottage cheese w/ 1/4 cup unsweetened bluberries- yummy

( this was no small feet considering I made the rest of the house wafflesw/ strawberries/whip cream + bacon, sausage and eggs!!)

now im having 1/2 cup of mixed nuts and a DIET pepsi
okay i finished the day with yellow bell pepper and hummus. a mozz. cheese. a diet pepsi. for dinner.... JOANNA'S fault!!! she made Casa mia white pizza with chicken!!! yum! but i still did okay! i did come across a slice of chocolate cake at my aunt kathy's house and i couldnt resist. but since it was only one slice, i cut a tiny tiny tiny piece. soooooooo goooooooddddd! anyway, i finished the night with a bowl of puffins and skim milk! overall

Todays Readings

My Aunt Leah suggested I read Romans 1-3 and it was really enlightening. Especially Romans 3:22-25. Im glad I have friends who can point me in the right direction of what chapters to read. It would take me a long time to figure it all out myself!!! lol.
